So clearly, I have not been updating my blog. Oh well! My restaurant bucket list is coming along nicely. I've been to many great restaurants.
My new favorites:
BBQ: Midwood Smokehouse
American/ Soda Shoppe: Pike's
All out bad for you, but DELICIOUS: Pinky's Westside Grill
Good Hangout Spot With Friends: Nolen Kitchen (but make a reservation! its small and gets packed).
Places that are overrated:
300 East
Ru Sans
That's it so far! I will try to post again soon.
I've read some really good books lately too! The Help was AWESOME. the critics are right, this is a book everyone should read- decidedly one of the most important books of this decade. It gives you a new insight into what it was like back then.
I'm also reading the Battlefield of the Mind devotional by Joyce Meyer and seriously learning so much. This book really makes you aware of some of the ways we let the devil in to our thought processes and it can ruin you.

My CLT Restaurant Bucket List
I don't post much, obviously, but this I am excited about!!! I am going to blog my way through my Charlotte Restaurant Bucket List. My husband and I have an appreciate for good, LOCAL restaurants. I can't wait to get started. I am hungry just thinking about it!
The Top Restuarants on My List Currently:
- Cast Iron Waffles
- Pike's Old Fashion Soda Shop
- Ru Sans
- Mattie's Diner
- Bite Your Tongue
- The Diamond
- Pinky's Westside Grill.
Of course, I will keep revisting my 'Old Faithfuls;' Cantina 1511, The Dish, Cowfish, Amelie's, and Cabo Fish Taco. But it's time to venture out. So here I go! Keep Tuned.

This Is Titles My Introduction
Good Morning!
I highly doubt anyone will read this blog, but I guess I am writing to get things off my mind. Writing just to write.
You may ask, why read this blog?
Frankly, I don't know why you would. It's not going to be about much. Just about my life, the places I go, the things I see, what I experience. I will also write about what troubles me, my beliefs, what God is doing in my life.
So this blog will be lots of randomness.
Anyway, let's get on with it. Do you ever ask the age-old question, who am I? No really, if I had to define myself, how would I do it?
- Funny
- Sarcastic
- Empathetic
- Inquisitive
- Anxious
- ADD (really, I am- you'll see that in my writing)
- Wife
- Sister, Daughter, Neice, Aunt
The sad thing about this, the one charateristic I REALLY should use to identify myself is not even one of the first five traits to usually pop into my head. CHRISTIAN. Child of God. Forgiven. This is what should ultimately define us.
This is my new quest. Who am I in God. I want to truly know this. What is my identity as a Christian? A lot of times we don't ask this question, perhaps we should.
I am currently reading The Forgotten God by Francis Chan and The Christian Atheist by Craig Groeschel. These two books really got me asking who exactly am I.
That's all for now. If you stumble upon this post, let me know your thoughts on this age-old question with a radical twist.
